Lasers are now an inevitable part of advanced dentistry. Most of the treatments using lasers can be done without anesthesia.

How long will the treatment take?
Gum depigmentation is a simple procedure and hardly takes a few hours, and the time depends on the size and the depth of pigmentation of gums.The patient can go back home in single visit.

Is this a painful procedure?
It is a painless procedure and usually the gums will be made numb befre the treatment to make patient feel comfortable.

Are the results visible immediately?
It takes a couple of days for the gums to heal. Changes are visible from the first day and the final results will be achieved after the complete healing of the gums.

Are the results achieved permanent?
The results are predictable for a long period of time, but may not be a permanent one for a life time.

Is there any harm in undergoing a laser treatment?
All treatments using lasers are done under special care.Patient’s as well as doctor’s eyes are protected with googles to prevent lasers coming across the eyes.

Tooth whitening is a procedure done to regain the oringinal colour of the teeth that was lost due to our habits and as an effect of aging.It is not a procedure to deliver a white bright colour to teeth, that a patient desires to have.Note that there are other esthetic treatment option to deliver a colour of choice to the teeth.
Tooth whitening or bleaching is achieved by many treatment option and Laser teeth whitening is the lastest advancement .Bleaching achieved using lasers are excellant and remarkable.However the bleaching quality using other techiniques to laser teeth whitening is still a controversy.

Treats sensitivity:
Sensitivity of teeth can happen due to various conditions.Those conditions much be identified and the defects must be corrected accordingly .Lasers are not an answer all factors resulting in sensitivity. Still any minor issues which does not require a complicted treatment or a treatment that may need extensive tooth alteration can be easily treated using a laser.
